FoodCultura is offering unique works of Miralda from the Cities, Tastes and Tongues project (Expo 2000, Hannover) for whoever wishes to support FoodCultura with a purchase. This project, an atlas of taste expanded upon Tastes and Tongues, was developed in multiple cities around the world making up a cartography of gastro-cultural knowledge in the double format of plate and language. The works consist of ceramic dinner plates on which Miralda drew the map of different cities and wrote texts in his own caligraphy that refer to various themes relevant to that city: language, customs, rituals, celebrations, songs, poetry, art, cinema, markets, food, drinks, restaurants , cafeterias, public spaces, street vendors, kitchen utensils, ways of cooking, ingredients…
Your support will contribute to the consolidation of FoodCultura as a space for research and exchange of knowledge and flavors by going to:
The annual celebration of Sant Stomak (World Food Day, October 16).
If you are interested in acquiring a plate, contact us for more information on what cities interest you and the availability of the works at archivo@foodcultura.org
